- Immersive Simulation

CC Simulation was engaged by Simovation to install the BLISS (Blended Learning Interactive Simulation Suite) system from Gener8.  Engagement started during the planning phase to ensure that the room (especially the ceiling which contained existing services) was in a configuration that would allow the projectors, speakers and lighting to be installed without impacting the functionality of the room.

The immersive simulation room allows static, dynamic and interactive content to be projected on to the walls and along with sounds to further create an immersive experience.  Interactive touch adds another layer of engagement for learners

An adjacent control room with one-way glass allows facilitators to observe simulation training and research sessions.  Cameras and microphones in the simulation lab are able to record the sessions for debriefing or research purposes.

Benefits of using an immersive simulation lab:

  • Large visual area to immerse the learner

  • Mixed media can be displayed for more engaging learning

  • Interactive content increases knowledge retention

  • Visual and audio stimuli create a safe environment for learners to practice high stakes skills while under stress in a realistic environment

  • Room environments can be changed quickly and at minimal cost
